About The Club

About Tim

Tim is a dual purpose racehorse trainer based at Great Habton, North Yorkshire and son of the three times Champion trainer Peter Easterby. Tim grew up watching his father train the greats such as Sea Pigeon, Night Nurse, Saucy Kit, Alverton and Little Owl. Since taking over from his father in 1996 Tim has saddled a Classic winner in Bollin Eric and Group 1 race winners Pipalong, Fayr Jag, Somnus, Winter Power and the Grade 1 Cheltenham festival winner Barton. Other noteable winners include recent Royal Ascot winner Snoano, Group 3 Acomb Stakes and Bahrain Stakes winner Wells Farhh Go, Group 2 Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte winner Mattmu and not forgetting the Grade 3 Fred Winter Cheltenham Festival winner Hawk High.

Habton Racing Club

The Habton Racing Club was formed in 2022 by Tim Easterby and the team at Habton Grange Stable. We created the club to allow everyone to experience ownership in the yard. For many years, we have run a successful syndicate, the Reality Partnership, and wanted to offer something new at an even more affordable price point. So if you’re looking for an entry into racehorse ownership or are just looking for a bit of fun, then the Habton Racing Club is for you.

Silks

Our colours were very kindly gifted to the racing club by Peter Easterby. They have been his personal racing colours for many years and have been carried by some brilliant horses such as Prominent King who won The Horse and Hound Cup. This is a picture of Tim Easterby riding Prominent King to success in The Horse and Hound Cup in 1984 wearing our silks.
