Meet The Horses - Angels Tale.

We have been fortunate to lease some exciting horses for the Habton Racing Clubs' first year, and in this series of articles, we will be taking a look at each horse that will be carrying our colours this year. The first horse we will be profiling is Angels Tale!

Angels Tale was bought by Tim in 2020 from the Tattersalls October Yearling Sales, from the Book 2 Catalogue. She's from Caravaggio's first crop, whom you may remember from his exploits on the racecourse. Caravaggio ran in John Magnier's famous all dark blue silks and won two Group 1 races in his short career. He hit the ground running with his progeny, scoring Black-Type with three of his first crop.

Angels Tale's name was inspired by her dam Angels Story, a 17YO mare by Galileo. Angels Story never ran as a 2-year-old but was very talented as a 3-year-old, reaching an official rating of 95 in Ireland. Since purchasing Angels Tale, her pedigree has boosted with her half-brother Bear Story winning a Group 3 for Michael Halford. This would make Angles Tale a very interesting breeding proposition after she has retired from racing.

Last year, as a 2-year-old, Angels Tale ran a total of eight times, placing at Wolverhampton over 7f. She clearly takes her racing very well as you won't find many 2-year-olds that have run that many times in their first year. Our hope is that she will continue to be a frequent runner for our club and give our members plenty of days at the races and, with any luck, a win or two.

We hope you have enjoyed this introduction to Angels Tale. We will be taking a look at the rest of the equine team for the Habton Racing Club in future articles and previewing an exciting year ahead. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch via email, habtonracingclub@gmail.com and if you want to be cheering Angels Tale on as an owner at the race this year, then you can sign up to the Habton Racing Club by clicking Join The Club in the menu above!
